Review of Titanic (1984) by Carol M — 16 Feb 2016

This is a visually awesome film with a terrific score and good acting. Yet, somehow, I just couldn't get past that an essentially immaturely-written love story was the central focus. I just found it hard to believe that none of the real people on the Titanic were interesting enough to focus on as central characters.

I also felt that the cynicism and crassness of the dive team detracted from the story. While the film had so many positive qualities, in the end, I felt like there was an incredible missed opportunity.
