Like Titanic, this was a sometimes visually beautiful, well-scored film based on historic events -- and twisted into a hodgepodge via the modern trend of marketing to the teen and pre-teen crowd. I appreciate eye-candy heroes and heroics as much as the next gal, but in a historical film, I'd rather they color inside the lines and leave the childish love stories to the chick flicks and frenzied action to Sly et al.
