Review of Titanic (1943) by Phillip D — 08 Mar 2015
There isn't a doubt in my mind that Cameron got lucky with Titanic, which is really DiCaprio and Winslet's film from start to finish. Although Cameron's visuals are impressive, his story building is not, as he produces a cliche ridden impossibility of a love story that is heroically saved by some of the best performances of his young lead's storied careers.
Without Leo and Kate, this movie is just another big budget bomb but with them, it soars to new heights.
