Impatiently waiting for gaspar noe's next film [enter the void], I decided to check out a couple of shorts I hadn't seen. this is his first film, made at 22, presumably to complete his film education. there are echoes of eraserhead and it's an ordinary film from a film student. there is little evidence of the techniques, style and themes that will be present in his later work. also saw "intoxication" which is a five or six minute film about a man talking to a camera about filmmaking/art/disease.

Both are for completists only and it's best to wait until september when 'enter the void' comes out.
