Review of Thunderheart (1992) by Dee L — 22 May 2007
It's hard to believe that Mike Apted made "Incident at Oglala" and then this crap. A very bad retelling of "true" events and equally bad casting of Val Kilmer. Graham Greene is amusing as always but the appearance of Trudell as the militant Indian was marred and confusing.
It's like the filmmakers deliberately dishonored and mocked the history and memory of the real people involved and portrayed in this film. It's just a movie but a bad one still. A very disappointing film that could have actually been good.
