Review of Thunderball (1965) by Westleigh Q — 11 Oct 2009
Not the best James Bond movie. The basic plot itself is simple enough to follow, but poor editing and outdated acting and directing just make it difficult to follow from one scene to another. Also, was the 15 minute underwater battle scene really necessary? This movie could've benefitted from a few scenes being left on the cutting room floor.
Also, Bond is called into a room with all the other 00 agents, yet we never see any of them. It would've been so cool if they had at least shown them or given them a few lines. Bottom line: you're better off renting From Russia With Love.
