Review of Thumbsucker (2005) by Allan S — 01 Mar 2008
I kind of loved this movie in many ways. It's probably the best movie I've seen in the past few weeks. I'm a sucker for coming-of-age stories, though, so maybe that has something to do with it.
There are interesting characters and substantial performances throughout. I didn't find it very predictable or conventional at all as far as coming-of-age tales usually go. It's funny, quirky and poignant.
Highly recommended.
