Review of Thumbelina (1994) by Tristan P — 03 Nov 2010
It's fun viewing when you're a child and it was an inspired idea to have Gilbert Gottfried, Carol Channing, and John Hurt in one movie not to mention the casting of Jodi Benson as another Hans Christian Andersen heroine.
The backgrounds are pretty and the songs are pleasant enough. But once again, Bluth's overtly cutsey characters and somewhat nonsensical subplots mar what could've been a better version of the fairy tale.
