Review of Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017) by Nadia C — 07 Jan 2018
They say it's a dark comedy, but there's no much comedy here. Every character in this movie is depressed and it's mourning someone. Nonetheless I can the see the irony of some situations, like the sherrif paying for the billboards after his death or Dixon beating the billboard guy and then being helped by him in the hospital and other things.
McDormand is excellent here. I think as good as she was in Fargo. Definitely Oscar worthy.
