Review of Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017) by Chris B — 18 Mar 2018

This is a powerful movie that explores complex issues through compelling characters and an interesting plot. How do individuals and communities deal with mortality? How much do officials deserve the blame? Unfortunately, I was not satisfied with the ending, which leaves a lot of unanswered questions, is morally ambiguous, and starts another series of events off that any invested audience member would obviously want to see.

I don't think there will be a sequel!, so we are just left feeling abandoned by the writers. Although filled with great performances, Sam Rockwell is particularly phenomenal.
