Review of Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017) by Late R — 02 Jan 2019
I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a film so much let alone an Oscar drama but Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri is poignant, enthralling, and just that good. McDonagh writes and directs this witty dramady brilliantly but it's the performances that steer it into greatness.
Frances McDormand and Sam Rockwell earned those Academy Awards for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor respectively and if it were possible I believe Woody Harrelson deserved one as well. I enjoyed every minute of it but admit I did find the ending disappointing as I was waiting for a grand conclusion but the movie's message of forgiveness came through regardless.
