Review of Threads (1985) by Edward S — 01 Apr 2008
Fantastic! I am so glad that I didn't see this when I was 11 (when it originally came out as I would have cried and shat myself to sleep. Truly miserable, convincing and meticulously made given the fact that this is a TV production from the early 80's. Crammed with moments that will haunt you for the rest of your life, from the melting milk bottles and woman wetting herself in the street as the mushroom cloud bursts, to the relentless collapse of civilisation. It will make you look at EVERYTHING in your life with new light.
This film should be mandatory for all school children as much as films about the Holocaust - it is that important.
Follow the link in my 'Fun'wall for the first part, then get onto Youtube for the following parts. I do NOT exaggerate how much this film will effect you.
