Review of Thoroughly Modern Millie (1967) by Ben S — 04 Jul 2008
For a 2 1/2 hour movie with an 1 1/2 plot, it surprisingly never runs out of charm. The cast is dynamite, and it's all so totally bizarre that you don't need drugs. The Asian stereotypes are so hilariously offensive and downright that I wonder if it was sending up stereotypes rather than perpetuating them.
I'm not sure. Anyway, I really like it.
