Well now, there's something to think about. This film has got so much. The American landscape, all huge spaces, exaggerated colours and converging lines, and Dublin, all little houses and puddles in gutters.
It's a road movie, and it's a Nazi-hunting odyssey, and it is, oddly, also about addiction. Sean Penn's eyes are very, very blue when he has the makeup on, and who is he, right at the end? Oh and it's funny too.
