Sean Penn as a Robert Smith caricature is perhaps the best way to describe this film in one sentence. Whilst the Holocaust story line has some merit, the film would have worked better as a straight-forward character piece about the alienation of Goths rather than the somewhat directionless road movie it turned out to be.
Disappointing...particular if you are a Goth yourself. :(.
