Review of Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead (1995) by Teresa S — 21 Jul 2010
Sort of a 90's version of film noir, this is a fun crime movie about that one last caper that goes horribly wrong and now all the parties involved need to leave town before the head honcho knocks them all off.
Lots of side stories here including Andy Garcia's romance with a club girl and a hooker, the rivarly between the gang members, and Christopher Walken's especially sleazy turn as the Man With The Plan, and Steve Buscemi's hitman lurking in the shadows.
I thought it was alright but it sounded like it wants to have the Tarrantino-esque dialogue but not quite succeeding, but I liked the slow pacing, it didn't try to get too flashy and rush the story but let it unfold deliberately.
