Review of Things to Come (1936) by Andrey B — 14 Jul 2018
An old-fashioned sci-fi movie which if a bit naive still ponders upon eternal things pertaining to mankind. Contains spectacular and disturbing scenes of the futurre/modern warfare with mass deaths of people.
It aptly shows that, as a rule, all good causes transform themselves, eventually, into authoritarian aspirations. A great example of this is Cabal, a typical communist, who easily sacrifices people to the higher cause of the future 'super' life.
