Review of They Live (1988) by Paul S — 05 May 2010

Any movie that stars Rowdy Roddy Piper and has the line, "I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass... and I'm all out of bubblegum." Is alright by me!

The acting may be hammy and the f/x really low budget. But this great cheesy movie from John Carpenter perfectly captures the greed-centric Reagan era of 1980s America.

Also not to spoil anything, but you gotta love it when a movie has its characters spend five uncut minutes fighting with their fists. Total 80s. A must watch!
