As charming, adorable and impossible not to like as a journey through one of the protagonist's candy shops, the self-referential They Came Together is a wickedly intelligent and relentlessly hilarious satire that uses its corny tone and rom-com cliches to confident effect, resulting in a comedy that subverts each of its well worn genre tropes.
