In The Boy Next Door, a standard psychosexual thriller, Jennifer Lopez gives a spicy starring performance and Ryan Guzman has just the right physique, but they aren't nearly enough to excuse the way in which this latest Fatal Attraction ripoff follows the basic formula without taking any risks and plays it way too safely.
