Review of The Zookeeper's Wife (2017) by Jim J — 04 May 2017
This is a very watchable movie, but it could have climbed to greater heights given the photogenic animals and the horrors of the Warsaw ghetto. Sadly it does not rise above a workmanlike spin. These movies about the Nazi atrocities committed on behalf of the 3rd Reich keep coming and coming.
There seems to be an endless supply. Surely most of us are now well informed as to the crimes against the Jews. I suppose there a are a few who still don't believe or refuse to believe in the Holocaust.
Of course we need to be reminded from time to time so the planet never forgets what really happened. But surely there are other more prominent human causes to pursue by the Hollywood moguls, who seem to favor these kinds of movies every several months.
