Review of The Young and Prodigious T.S. Spivet (2013) by Harry W — 03 Nov 2014
An endearing picture of a child prodigy and his family from Montana. I loved how unaffected he and his family were with his academic brilliance and scientific creativity. What a wonderful world TS lived in compared to societies and families that pressurize every student to excel in school.
Each child in modern competitive city is likened to a beast of burden: totally overwhelmed with unending homework, remedial and enrichment classes and chopped off from creativity and independent thought.
