Review of The Young and Prodigious T.S. Spivet (2013) by Paul K — 09 Jan 2016
I understand this was released in 3D. I have been sitting with a 2D copy for a couple of years and finally got around to watching it. Even flat, the photography is amazing - hyperreal art shot from a movie camera.
The tale itself is good fun, and has a split-level narrative - the physical adventure of the journey and the spiritual journey of the child character. It's just a pity that there were several pieces of dialogue that were completely lost on me, although it was still luscious cinema.
