Review of The Year of Living Dangerously (1982) by Mikhail B — 08 Jul 2013
A journalist finds himself in the middle of communist revolt against Suharno regime in Indonesia and gets torn between his career aspirations and romantic loyalty. A very sketchy and rather pointless movie, with the only exception of Sigourney Weaver's reluctant submission to Mel Gibson's insistent courtship.
The weak film from the point of international politics could still be a good reminder for someone who lived in Indonesia, but I believe, for the rest it won't be of any interest.
