Review of The Wrestler (2008) by Patrick B — 03 Nov 2011
Being a pro-wrestling fan, I can say that this film effectively portrays a side of the industry in a provocative and compelling way. We see the main character in some of today's former stars: Ric Flair, Jake Roberts, and of course Scott Hall come to mind.
But it's more than just about wrestling. To me it's about the effects of the vicious cycle of excess, especially when one sincerely tries to reform himself.
