Review of The Wrestler (2008) by Amadeusmozart — 03 Apr 2017
Once again, the American director Darren Aronofsky pays off with yet another fantastic movie. This time, the feature tells the story of a "near to retirement" wrestler (Mickey Rourke) who fights to get a decent life outside of the wrestling business due to heart problems.
Both the atmosphere of the film and the story itself make this movie seem extremely realistic and sensible; this actually makes the viewer realize all the stories similar to this one that have indeed taken place in the lives of many real individuals on society.
Finally, the great performances, the incredible directing and the interesting story make this movie one of the best in all of the 2000s.
