Review of The Wrecking Crew (1968) by Bill T — 05 Jul 2010
A bit better then The Ambushers. at least it's not so mysoginist, The Wrecking Crew features Dean Martin in his final appearance as Matt Helm (They promised another one, but that never materialized) fighting off a evil villian who steals half a billion in gold.
It's up to Helm and a goofy female sidekick (played by Sharon Tate) to get rid of him and his gang of baddies, both male and female. This episode tries to mix in more action with the girlie action, and it succeeds.
Still, I think this is the weakest of the lot. The Ambushers was just very very sexist, and Murderer's Row had the smoking Ann-Margret. Not to say Sharon Tate is hot. It's just a little weird seeing her her, in her pentultimate performance.
