Review of The Wrecking Crew (1968) by Allan C — 24 Nov 2013
The fourth and final Mat Helm spy film, with Dean Martin again returning as the Austin Powers-like super spy. The film was directed by Phil Karlson, who I always thought was an underrated action director (though you wouldn't know it from this film).
Elke Sommer, Sharon Tate, Nancy Kwan and Tina Louise provide fodder for Dino's strange charms. Look fast for Chuck Norris in a bar scene and Bruce Lee actually served as the "karate advisor" on the film even though you'd never guess it by the rather standard fight scenes, but I'll cut Bruce a break since Dino was not really famous for his martial arts prowess.
