Review of The World's End (2013) by Emile H — 11 Jul 2017
Edgar Wright is a modern-day film visionary. He makes viewers think yet there is always something exciting, be it an action, dramatic, or a comedic sequence. Every frame in this movie requires a double take and maybe a conspiracy theory or two.
Plus the banter taken between Simon Pegg and his old school buddies during an alien invasion on their way to the World's End is hilarious yet a lot to take in. But the references, the callbacks, and the moments of reflection in between make it all worth sitting through.
The statement that this movie never misses a damn beat should not be taken lightly, especially when we're talking five drunken idiots saving the world.
