Review of The Woman in Red (1984) by Ali E — 12 Feb 2012
A lukewarm comedy proceeding from the idea that all men are hunters and they can't settle for one woman. A middle-aged man (Gene Wilder) occasionally sees up the skirt of a stunningly looking woman (Kelly LeBrock) who walks over a ventilation grill in an underground parking, and instantly gets infatuated with her.
Sacrificing his reputation, money and his wife's trust, he gets to the other woman's bed, to then realise that the gain is not worth it. Nice photography (for the year when the movie was shot in) and Stevie Wonder's hits are worth a mention.
Otherwise, it's rather an empty film.
