Review of The Wolf of Wall Street (2013) by Charles L — 21 Dec 2014
Although I did enjoy the movie, just was not as impressed as I had hoped for based on hype from my friends. Leo was impressive in some scenes where he was channeling Gordon Gecko. Found a couple of scenes a bit sloppy with too much drama in trying to extract every bit of emotion from the quailude scenes.
Let me preface this by saying I love the work from Scorsese but I think he might have been pressing a little here. All in all good movie but not in the normal Scorsese stratosphere that I am used to.
