Incredibly short but the original "Wolfman" from 1941 is nostalgic because it relied on the times to create the imagery written on the screenwriter's page. Using dissolves, heavy makeup and prosthetics, and Lon Chaney Jr. following in his father's footsteps. This is the movie that really brought forth people like makeup artist and designer Rick Baker and Sam Winston to create their movie monsters, the movie that John Landis sought as an idea for his 80's "An American Werewolf in London", and the history and folklare that was created in this movie (silver bullets, lycanthropy, changing into a beast by moonlight) has been used in every werewolf movie till now.

Before seeing the Benecio Del Toro movie I advise everyone to see this Universal Monster classic. I was glad I impulse bought it and watch it.
