Review of The Wolf Man (1941) by Forrest K — 11 Dec 2010
The Wolf man has a fun atmosphere, and it's a great classic creature, but the human element seems missing. Where Frankenstein's Monster is ultimately a tragic character, Chaney's hero is such a lout from the start that it's hard to care about his curse, and the plot follows such a rigidly obvious arc that the whole thing feels like a missed opportunity.
