I suppose I don't have to tell anyone that "The Wizard of Oz" is a good movie. I can certainly say it's a truly great movie ... more so than I remembered. It had been many years since I had bothered to watch the film.
It's a film I have generally taken for granted. It's really the pinnacle of studio craft. All of the mighty resources of the Hollywood studio system marshaled to turn out a near perfect bit of family entertainment.
