Review of The Wizard of Gore (1970) by Hotrod M — 26 Jul 2008
Big gore, big boobs and big wigs, invariably filled with a big bucket of big bloody brains - for me the definitive 70s trashy exploitation flick from the Pope of splatter himself, Herschell Gordon Lewis.
Like most of his films, I would describe this as 'washing machine' filmmaking - hypnotic, strangely rhythmical and if you stare at it too long you might just puke. Great!
