Review of The Wizard of Gore (1970) by Laurent G — 17 Apr 2009
Delirious editing, bizarre music, and even bad acting can be cool in a horror film, but in this case it just doesn't work. It's not without its share of squirm-worthy moments, but "The Wizard of Gore" is so fucking formulaic that you feel like you're watching variations of the same short film about four times.
Some funny parts, some scary grossness, but mostly shit. And by the way, this is most definitely NOT better than "Suspiria".
