Review of The Wiz (1978) by Erin T — 16 Jan 2012
A lot of parts do seem a bit cheesy, but I think that is kind of the point. I'm not a big fan of Diana Ross, but she isn't terrible. Ted Ross continues his version of the lion from his performances of The Wiz on broadway which keeps things more dramatic.
And... Michael Jackson... Oh Michael Jackson. He is not bad, but he's not great. He brings the shy and sweet aspect of the Scarecrow and helps keep the music going.
