Review of The Wind That Shakes the Barley (2006) by Erik K — 12 May 2011
A long, ultimately pointless historical tale of two brothers caught up in the IRA in 1919 whose ideologies tragically clash when Ireland gains statehood. It gets points for depicting the deep divides among the Irish and the brutality of the English occupation.
However, it would have benefited from less yelling. It seems most the actors were told to yell their lines. It quickly gets tedious.
