Review of The Wild Geese (1978) by James W — 04 Jul 2006
A good war yarn featuring some good old British boys who should know better. Richard Burton leads a team of soldiers into hostile Africa to rescue an ousted president. It doesn't go smoothly with ambushes all the way through and the suave annoyance of Roger Moore grating after a while.
The ending is the choker but the action holds up as an impressive war movie.
