Review of The Wild Bunch (1969) by Reed W — 20 Apr 2009
There are two genres I cannot stand to watch: Film Noir and Westerns. The Wild Bunch is the Western of all Westerns. The acting is decent and the direction is awesome, but it's still a Western. Just because it's more violent and bloody than previous Westerns and shows some boobies, does not make it more interesting or make it any smarter.
It's hella long and there are too many scenes that drag on for way too long. This could have been cut down AT LEAST 20 minutes. I do however like the different kind of cinematography with the random zooms.
I understand why it's a "must see classic", but I have no taste for it.
