Review of The Whole Wide World (1996) by Helen S — 26 Jul 2007
I thought this was a lighthearted romantic comedy, so I watched it with no expectations. Boy, what a powerful film! The acting was excellent. The ending was devastating and left me drained. The kiss was so beautiful! The ending (up until the VERY end) lost a bit of momentum, though.
And that annoying old lady at the end with her little optimistic speeches -- argh -- that's why I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5. Beautiful movie.
