Review of The Whole Wide World (1996) by Maxwell D — 01 Mar 2009
Some fine moments, decent performances, and some excellent cinematography reminiscent of (yet nowhere near as stunning as) Terrence Malick's 'Days of Heaven,' don't make this anything more than a melodramatic love story.
True or not, it was nothing more than a trite, overwrought made-for-TV weepie.
