The Whistleblower is based on a real story about the american career police woman Kathryn Bolkovac (Rachel Weisz) who decides to go to Bosnia as a part of a peacekeeping forces during the Yugoslav wars in the 90s. On on of her mission she discover a dark screat that the company she works for, Decomcra Corp is involved in human trafficking. This is a case that Kathryn is trying to get through and have done something about it. But the cooperation is corrupt and seems to do everything to stop Kathryn from take the case further.
The Whistleblower is a good thriller with a lot of strong emotional and horrifying torture scene that only strengthen the films message. Rachel Weisz also gives one of her best performances since The Constant Gardener. This movie is thrilling from beginning to end and never drags. Thumbs up.
