Review of The Westerner (1940) by Adam W — 20 May 2008
Based on an amalgam of various tall tales told by "Hanging" Judge Roy Bean, who did indeed have a huge crush on (a photo of) Lily Langtry. Reasonably funny at times, but it's hard to reconcile the humor with the fact that Walter Brennan (Bean) is really nothing more than a tyrannical murderer.
