Review of The Way We Were (1973) by Andissa G — 15 Apr 2008
The third best love stories in history after Roman Holiday and Casablanca. Two very different people have a wonderful romance. Katie, a strong student who has a great potential as a politician and Hubble a rich , popular boy who impressed by Katie character.
The two soon fall in love, but their political views slowly drive them apart. At first, Katie trying really hard to fit into Hubble's community but she never succeed. She tries every way to make the man she loves happy.
She supports him in a way that nobody ever will. Until he cheats on her with his ex-girlfriend. The famous scene is the ending. It is simply the best ending scene ver. Really touching, I cry all the way.
They meet again in front of a hotel. Hubble says to Katie, "You never change". Then he smiles at her and ask again about Katie's new husband," Is he a good father?" . Katie answers,"Yes,very".
In her eyes , full tears, is like She is trying to tell him that She stills loves him very much. Then, Hubble looks at Katie deeply like he is trying to understand why he ever cheat on a great woman who is the ONLY ONE THAT EVER GOING TO UNDERSTAND AND LOVE HIM LIKE KATIE DID .
