Review of The Water Diviner (2014) by Jim B — 15 May 2015
I found this to have emotion and period atmosphere. It was well acted and produced. I did not find the last third to be confusing as some reviews have noted. I don't think it needed to critique any of the militaries in this war since it was based on a true story about how this man searched for his sons and by some luck, he was assisted by a party considered an enemy.
It did not try to tell the entire story of the war or who brutalized whom. It was one vignette from this war. I enjoyed it.
