"I'll shove that bat up your ass and turn you into a popsicle." Owned. This was a lot of fun, and I'm sure it was very controversial for its time. You know how I said Vanishing Point was one big car chase? Well, this film is one big chase too, sans car.

Stuff I loved: everyone in the movie reeks of badassery, the comic book transitions, the allusions to the Greeks, the chaotic futuristic society, the lightning-fast pacing, and the overall tense feel throughout the film.

What I didn't like: bouts of overacting, underacting, and forced dialogue. That really grinds my gears. The movie is 93 minutes, and I dunno if I've ever said this, but it was too short! I don't think I would have minded if it was 4 or 5 hours haha.

I saw the director's cut, and an interview with him divulged that this cut basically added in the comic book sequences and tried to give the film more of a surreal look. I guess Tony Scott wants to remake it, except he wants it to be present day (duh), and the gangs to would be in the thousands, not 20-30 members.

Oh, and he also met up with Bloods and Crips for research haha. T. Scott is a very up-and-down director, so I shall reserve final judgement until it comes out. Right meow, I'm skeptical. But the original is quite entertaining.

The no-name actors didn't really have the line deliveries down, but everything else was "killer"â¦hehe sorry.
