Review of The Wages of Fear (1953) by Patrick W — 03 Jan 2009
The long middle section is a masterpiece of tension and suspense, and a social commentary on greed, courage, and cowardice. Unfortunately, it takes too long to get moving, and the ending was predictable, and almost comical.
But overall, the majority of the film is brilliant beyond most films I have ever seen.
