Review of The Wages of Fear (1953) by Roger T — 02 Oct 2013
Clouzot is undoubtedly the master of suspense and unexpectedness. The truck journey is indeed one of the most breathtaking experience in cinema history. Subplots like criticisms of the American capitalist exploitation and irony in lives are well-revealed despite the omnipresent tension.
Mesmerizing.
