Review of The Void (2016) by Tonydds — 16 Apr 2017

I can't believe how many positive reviews this movie had. The entire cast and crew must have left positive reviews, because I can't imagine anyone in the audience thinking this movie was decent. Most people must have felt like they wasted their time with this movie and didn't want to waste any more by leaving a review.

I'll be the guy to waste a little more time to prevent other people from wasting theirs. The acting was okay, not gonna slam any of the actors, but theyre not likely to win any awards either. The practical effects were okay.

You could tell it was low budget since it didn't show any stabbing or cutting. Most of the monsters only appeared in flashing or low light conditions where you couldn't notice detail or lackthereof. That made it a little interesting, I guess.

Now for the script... One of the worst movies I've ever seen. No substance, no backstories...I was just waiting for all the characters to die so I could go back to living my life.
